This is going to be a bit of a different review, because it was a rather unique experience. But I wanted to post this review because of the experience I had, and how McClinton handled the whole situation. First, my wife and I did actually purchase a used F-150 from them. We test drove it, it felt great, and the price seemed fair compared to Kelly Blue Book. The buying experience itself was among the best I've had in my years of buying vehicles. Our salesman Matt, and loan officer Deanna, were both excellent. Not pushy at all, all terms were presented in a very clear and easy to understand way, and I never felt pressured to accept anything that we didn't want. Unfortunately, this is where things went south. And I must stress, I really don't think anyone was at fault, it's just one of those things that happen. The Carfax stated that the truck has been in a minor accident with minimal damage. That wasn't the dealership stating it, that was from Carfax. Sadly, I think that may have been understated by whoever did the accident report on the vehicle. On our way to my in-laws to show them our new truck, the transmission stopped shifting before we even made it there. It was actually about 10 mins after we left. The truck was still drivable, it was an intermittent electrical issue that came and went, but that also prevented it from starting for a while after we shut it off. It may have been unrelated to the damage, a technical issue with those trucks, who knows. But obviously not what we were expecting. We purchased the truck on a Saturday and the dealership was already closed when we returned. However, I had Matt's phone number so I texted asking what we should do with it, and he immediately called, told us where to park it and where to leave the keys. Of course at this point my wife and I are incredibly stressed. But they said they'd get it looked at and make the repairs. They were quick to provide an initial diagnosis of it being the PCM (the main computer that controls the power train). However, they aren't a Ford dealership so it had to be taken to Ford to have it programmed by them. Matt was in communication with us the whole time offering updates. And when I'd get impatient and text for an update, he'd always respond with any info he had. Sadly, the PCM did not fix the issue, Ford said it would require additional parts. At that point, I felt like because it was an electrical issue, that they might be fishing for an answer as electrical gremlins can be incredibly hard to track down. Not that I think they were trying to put a bandaid on it, just that I didn't trust the type of issue it was having. So at this point, I requested that they take the truck back. And to my surprise, they were incredibly understanding and didn't fight me at all on the issue. When we went in to sign the paperwork canceling the loan, they were very gracious, and encouraged us to come back. Based on my experiences with other dealerships, that could have gone much worse. The last point I want to share is our dealership experience after McClinton. So far, we've only gone to one, Toothman and Sowers Ford in Fairmont. I've been to Ford dealerships before, and this one was no exception to my expectations. The salesman was incredibly pushy. And per their "gatekeeper" tactic of the loan officer sitting behind a tall desk that only the salesman gets to talk to, we'd sit at the salesmans desk while he would run back and forth hand writing numbers on a sheet of paper, hoping we'd take the monthly payment. They don't go through all the various stuff like an extended warranty, gap insurance, etc. They just throw everything on, write a payment on a sheet of paper, and have the salesman try to sell you on that number. I mean this when I say we felt dirty by the time we left. We didn't buy from them for that reason. To have such a contrasting experience between those two dealerships, I felt warranted sharing what we went through, but also how it was handled, and what the alternatives are. We'd definitely do business with McClinton again.

This was by far the best car buying experience I have ever had. Shayne Harman was fantastic! Very helpful and informative. Everyone we interacted with at McClinton was great. They were all friendly, easy going, and didn't pressure you into anything. I have already told a lot of people if they are in the market for a new car, that McClinton is where they need to go. I will definitely be returning to them for any future car purchases! I love my new Trax, thanks guys!

I scheduled the appointment online, I received a confirmation email. I received a reminder email, I went to the appointment, sat in the waiting room while they provided the service. The waiting room was comfortable, Staff was friendly and didn't take an unreasonable amount of time. Getting the cars oil changed is not something I look forward to but they make it painless.
They were very curious and kept you completely informed at all times. They even allowed to wait in their waiting room with many accommodations for each individual. Just a Awesome experience
